Pacific Northwest – Skagit Valley

I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. The Skagit Valley area is an agricultural mecca located half way between Seattle to the South and Vancouver BC to the North. The Spring season brings the Tulip Festival from April 1st thru April 30th. Please visit RoozenGaarde Display Garden and Store located in Mount Vernon, Washington. Check www.tulips.com for the Bloom Map before you book your trip. The Winter season brings the migrating Snow Geese and Trumpeter Swans. Truly a site to see! Take the North Cascade Highway  along the salmon filled Skagit River and enjoy the many bald eagles. The San Juan Islands are to the West where you can hop on a ferry ride across the Salish Sea. There are many artsy small towns to enjoy including La Conner, Anacortes, Edison, Bow, Mount Vernon, Concrete, Conway and Burlington to name a few. Enjoy the sights of the many beautiful farms and farmlands around the area. If you would like a guided tour, call Stephanie from Skagit Guided Adventures @www.skagitguidedadventures.com  Stephanie will take you hiking around Skagit Valley or to Mount Baker if you prefer. She has agricultural tours as well as Brewery tours.
